CatNap Society
CatNap Society, a dedicated NGO and registered charity in Nanaimo, BC, performs the vital work of rescuing and providing medical care to feral cats across the Nanaimo Area District. While they already had an established brand and a basic WIX site, they needed a more sophisticated digital hub that could match the urgency of their mission and the scale of their community impact.
I provided a comprehensive design upgrade that didn't just refresh their look, but also ensured the site met strict accessibility standards and SEO best practices. Beyond the visuals, I took a holistic approach to their digital strategy. We moved their fundraising efforts away from being strictly social-media-reliant to a more robust, integrated platform. To empower their team, I provided digital presence coaching, teaching them how to leverage Google Business Profile and master social media marketing to grow their reach.
The new site now acts as the central nervous system for the organization, featuring a dynamic events calendar that streamlines volunteer coordination and keeps the public informed about adoption clinics and fundraisers.
Key features include:
Design & Accessibility Overhaul: A professional visual refresh that adheres to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for inclusive browsing.
Integrated Events Calendar: A centralized hub for volunteers and the public to track adoption events and local fundraisers.
Strategic SEO Optimization: Enhanced backend metadata and structure to ensure the society is easily found by local donors and adopters.
Fundraising Platform Migration: Transitioned donation flows to a more reliable system, reducing friction and increasing donor conversion.
Digital Presence Coaching: Direct training on Google Business Profile management and social media "tips and tricks" for long-term growth.
By combining front-end web development with strategic coaching, CatNap Society now has a professional, high-performing platform. The result is a digital presence that works as hard as their volunteers do, allowing them to focus on what matters most: saving lives in the Nanaimo community.
We are grateful for Lys's help, and we trust their guidance and know they support our mission.
